Our Story
Midlands Claim Service, Inc has been serving Central Nebraska, Eastern Nebraska, Northern Kansas, and Western Iowa since 1979. In 2008 we were awarded the A.M. Best Company, for Recommended Insurance Adjusters, for our reputation, character and experience in the adjusting field. In 2008, we were awarded the A.M. Best Company's "Best of Rating" for client recommended Insurance Adjusters, based on our reputation, character, and experience in the adjusting field.
Leland Becher- President/Adjuster
After graduating from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Leland went to work for USF&G where he completed an eight week home office schooling, covering multi-lines, as well as attending Vail Tech for auto appraising school. He was quickly promoted to the Adjuster in charge of Western Nebraska, from North Platte to the Wyoming border. After USF&G, Leland went to work for GAB in Columbus, NE. While with GAB, he attended their advanced fire school in Denver, CO, which included large property losses and business interruption. After working with these two companies for six years, he decided to branch out on his own. He started Midlands Claim Service, Inc. in November of 1979. After over forty years of adjusting, he is well versed in all-lines, including Property, Auto, General Liability, Workers Compensation and Fire.
Blake Becher- Vice President/Adjuster
After graduating from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Blake began his career as a high school teacher in Murray, NE. After a year of teaching, he decided to follow in his fathers footsteps. After starting with Midlands Claim Service in May of 2011, Blake attended auto appraising school at Metro Community College in Omaha, NE. He is well versed in all-lines including Property, General Liability, Fire, Auto, and many others.
Katie Sander- Office Manager
Katie started working for us in 2002 as our main secretary and manager of our office. She handles our business operations, as well as file setup and claim management. She has a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Concordia University in Seward, NE.
Other Staff
During our extremely busy times, we have multiple catastrophe adjusters from different parts of the United States that come and work for us. All of these individuals have worked in the adjusting field for at least 15+ years, and are reputable in their adjusting work.
